"...let it come from you."
Now that you’ve seen me step into the shoes of several of my favorite characters, I want to pull back the curtain and introduce myself on a deeper level.
As cheesy as it sounds, I truly put my whole heart into everything I do, and that’s not something I can take for granted. When I was a toddler, I had open heart surgery to repair a hole in my heart. (I’m 100% fine now, YAY!) After the surgery, I stopped talking outside of the house for a full year, due to severe anxiety. Surprisingly, I sang everywhere; it just felt natural to me. Over time, and with care and support, I re-discovered my speaking voice. Today, I’m eager to share. Eager to listen. The theatre is the perfect place for me to do so.
When I’m not rehearsing or performing, I help lead my family’s sibling-run company, Litographs. We make art from books, wrapping the text of your favorite book around a graphic so you can read your t-shirt, blanket, etc. You didn't realize you needed a blanket with the text of The Wizard of Oz on it? Well, now you know!
Thank you for reading — I can’t wait to tell stories with you! 🎭
